Our Story
Hello and welcome to Lowilani Exotics. My name is Aloha, and I am fairly new to the New Caledonian gecko and reptile scene, but I am quick to learn. I am fascinated by genetics and the beauty of these magnificent creatures.
My love for animals didn’t start with reptiles; it started with dogs. I have been showing dogs since 2001 (Bernese Mountain Dogs, among other breeds) and have bred and shown Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and English Toy Spaniels since 2010. Therefore, I am not new to the game when it comes to studying structure, pedigrees, and health.
A little more about myself, unrelated to animals, is that I am an Air Force Veteran, and I joined right out of high school after deciding not to attend the Columbus College of Art and Design (CCAD). So, although I changed career paths, I still have a passion and a love for art nonetheless. I use mediums such as watercolor, acrylic, oil pastels, and fabric. I also sew and make quilts, bags, and collages, but don’t ask me to sew apparel... that's a whole different realm. Lately, I have been back into graphic design and creating fun images that allow the positivity to flow. This is the best resolution for me due to working in such a structured and challenging environment.
Therefore, I hope you enjoy some of the things that I make just as much as I loved making them.
